Samsung’s next-gen Odyssey G80SD 4K QD-OLED gaming monitor goes on sale on sale August 14 after pre-orders in China.

Samsung has introduced its latest gaming monitor, the Odyssey G80SD for pre-order, featuring a UHD (3840x2160p) resolution on a QD-OLED panel. This gaming monitor is set for pre-order from 10:00 on August 8 until 19:30 on August 14 for a price of 11,079 yuan or $1,550.
The Samsung Odyssey G80SD QD-OLED gaming monitor boasts a 32-inch screen size using the Quantum Dot layer on the OLED panel for increased brightness. The display runs at a 240Hz refresh rate with an ultra-fast response time of just 0.03ms GtG. Through the OLED panel, the monitor can achieve a high static contrast ratio of 1,000,000:1 and also features HDR10 for vivid details. Powered by Samsung’s 3rd generation NQ8 AI CPU, it not only supports HDR mode but also supports variable refresh rate and AMD FreeSync Premium Pro for tear-free gaming.
The display boasts true 10-bit color depth, enabling up to 1.07B colors for vibrant color reproduction, and has a 178/178-degree viewing angle for comfortable viewing. Additionally, the color gamut includes 99% DCI-P3 color space for vibrant visuals and an anti-glare design for well-lit environments.
The Samsung Odyssey G80SD QD-OLED gaming monitor features a built-in Smart TV app for online content and supports 4K video playback, along with dynamic AI enhancements to optimize moving objects.
Ergonomics The Odyssey G80SD includes the ability to adjust its pan from -30 to 30 degrees, tilt from -2 to 25 degrees and vertical rotation from -92 to 92 degrees. The monitor has adjustable height from 0 to 120 mm and can be mounted on the wall using the VESA 100×100 mm mounting method.
Its connectivity includes 2 HDMI 2.1 ports, 1 DisplayPort 1.4a, and a 3.5mm audio jack for audio devices or headphones. Additionally, the monitor is equipped with two USB 3.0 ports for quick connection of peripherals that can be used to connect a keyboard and mouse directly to the back of the monitor. In addition to the connectivity ports on the back, there is an RGB LED Turbo Light ring, which enhances its aesthetics and can be adjusted according to personal taste.
