Five people died, including two children, after a terrible accident on the M6.
The driver of the Skoda, a Cambridgeshire man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, a man, a woman and two children of the Glasgow Toyota were also pronounced dead at the scene.
A third child in the Toyota was taken to Newcastle’s Royal Victoria Infirmary with serious injuries.
The families of those involved are supported by specially trained officers.
The M6 Northbound fully reopened early this morning.
