FC Metz and Angers are both vying for the signing of Esteban Lepaul, a rising star in the third tier of French football. Ligue 1 side Metz has already reached an agreement with Épinal, Lepaul’s current club and the top scorer in the Championnat National. However, negotiations are still ongoing as Angers, a Ligue 2 team, is also interested in acquiring the talented player during the winter transfer window. Despite Épinal having the division’s leading scorer, they are struggling in the league and sit in 18th place. Lepaul has been given time to decide whether he wants to join Angers now or wait for a potential move to Metz in the summer.
