It’s been quite a while since the New York Jets won the division.

To be more accurate, it’s been 22 years since that happened.

Nonetheless, NFL analyst — and well-known diehard Jets fan — Craig Carton believes the drought is about to come to an end.

Talking on “The Carton Show,” he stated that the Jets are a “guaranteed lock” to win the AFC East Division next season.

He claimed that as much as he likes Josh Allen, it simply won’t be his year.

The Buffalo Bills have won four consecutive AFC East Division titles, with the New England Patriots winning every single year prior to them, dating back to 2008, when the Miami Dolphins ended a five-year Patriots run.

Of course, the Jets should be much better than they were last season.

Aaron Rodgers will be back under center, and the team obviously expects him to play more than just four plays.

The Jets have one of the best defenses in the game, and they have a plethora of talent on the offensive side of the field again.

A future first-ballot Hall of Famer quarterback could do wonders for this ever-struggling team, and the Jets will be in Super Bowl-or-bust mode from the very start of the season.

Then again, the Dolphins and Bills will also be legitimate threats to come out of the division and even make it to the big game.

Also, they still need to figure out a way to keep their quarterback out of danger by revamping their offensive line.
