The 2023-24 NBA regular season will come to an end today, with the playoff picture being set for both the Eastern and Western Conference and some interesting matchups for a chance for four teams in each conference to advance to the NBA playoffs.

Ahead of the Western Conference playoff picture being set on Sunday, the East schedule for the Play-In Tournament has been set, with the defending Eastern Conference champion Miami Heat facing the Philadelphia 76ers on the road at Wells Fargo Center.

After the game between the Heat and 76ers concludes, the Atlanta Hawks will take on the Chicago Bulls at the United Center on Wednesday night, according to ESPN’s Malika Andrews.

The craziest part about this Play-In Tournament in the East is that at one point, it was thought Miami and Philadelphia could potentially meet in the Eastern Conference Finals.

That matchup will obviously be the one to watch in the East, while many expect the Bulls or Hawks to lose to whomever they’ll face in the next game.

It’ll be interesting to see who advances to the first round of the NBA playoffs in the East and whether any team in the conference can contend with the top-seeded Boston Celtics in a seven-game series.

The Celtics are the favorites to get to the NBA Finals in the East and will be as tough as any team to beat in the postseason, as Jayson Tatum and company are playing some incredible basketball and could be on their way to winning a record 18th title.
