The latest additions to Apple’s fall system updates are here with the fifth developer beta for iOS 18, iPadOS 18, macOS Sequoia, watchOS 11, visionOS 2It is tvOS 18.
iOS 18 Beta 5 comes with 2GB and brings a new modem update for improved connectivity. Safari on iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia is getting a new Distraction Control feature that lets you hide annoying pop-up ads from the options menu.
The Photos app now has a new layout that removes the Carousel view, along with new customization and reordering options that let you manage your photo collections.
The Home screen gains a new page editing option. The Maps and Find My app icons have been updated with new designs. The icons in the Control Center now have a more transparent design.
New software releases also feature bug fixes and general improvements. As always, it is not advisable to install beta software on your primary devices and you should always back up your data before installations.
