This will work with the Apple Watch Series 9, Series 10and Ultra 2. The Apple Watch Series 10 will launch on September 20. The feature will be part of watchOS 11, which is expected to launch today.

Apple Watch's sleep apnea detection is now FDA-cleared

Once you activate it, it needs ten nights of sleep tracking data over a 30-day period to determine if you might have sleep apnea. It also offers insights into sleep disorders.

If the resource suspects that you may have sleep apnea, it will prompt you to seek a formal diagnosis from your doctor. Sleep apnea causes your breathing to become shallower and/or stop repeatedly throughout the night, and can cause insomnia, headaches, daytime sleepiness, and other conditions.

Samsung already received FDA approval for sleep apnea detection for its Galaxy Watches earlier this year.
