Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta is preparing for a busy January transfer window, with several players expected to leave and new arrivals anticipated at the Emirates stadium. The Gunners are determined to compete for the Premier League title and are currently in a three-way battle with Liverpool and Manchester City. Last season, Arsenal led the top flight for most of the campaign but were ultimately overtaken by City.

According to the Daily Star, Arsenal will listen to offers for Mo Elneny, Cedric Soares, and Nuno Tavares. However, they are keen to retain Emile Smith Rowe despite his decreased playing time. The club sees Elneny, Soares, and Tavares as potential sources of additional funds.

Soares, who has six months left on his contract, has attracted interest from Turkish clubs Besiktas and Trabzonspor and is open to a move abroad. Similarly, Elneny, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has admirers in Saudi Arabia. Arsenal believes they can reach a favorable agreement with these clubs.

If a suitable offer arises, Arsenal may cut short Tavares’ loan spell at Nottingham Forest to make a profit on the player they signed from Benfica for nearly £10m in July 2021. Despite needing funds, Arsenal is not considering an exit for Smith Rowe, as Arteta sees him as a valuable asset in his plans.

The Gunners are still hopeful of signing a top-level striker, with Brentford’s Ivan Toney at the top of their wish-list.
