With AS Roma on the verge of signing Angeliño from RB Leipzig despite him spending the first half of the season on loan at Galatasaray, Diego Llorente, himself loaned by Leeds United, could be sacrificed.
That’s what Corriere dello Sport hint at on Monday, explaining that with the Spaniard arrival, an exit will likely be needed in Rome.
The newspaper report that the ‘liquidity index’ still needs to be addressed at the Serie A side, and ‘at least one player will leave’ before the end of the transfer window, with the Leeds man on the list.
The names put forward by Corriere are those of Marash Kumbulla, Zeki Celik, Andrea Belotti and Diego Llorente.
The latter is said to ‘have a market’ in the last few days of the transfer window, which will be a heavy hint to previous interest from Paris Saint-Germain in the Leeds United player.
That isn’t explicitly stated by Corriere, but it would make sense, especially since Llorente initially arrived in Rome from Leeds at the request of José Mourinho, who is no longer the manager at AS Roma.
