Audi revamps A3 sedan for 2025

Audi has updated its entry-level and smallest model, the A3 sedan, for the 2025 model year.

The A3 and S3, last redesigned for the 2022 model year, get a tweaked exterior design thanks to new LED designs for the headlights and taillights and an updated front fascia, new interior features and additional power.

Audi’s A3 refresh gives the model a similar look to the redesigned A5, which is replacing the A4 in the German luxury brand’s lineup.

Inside, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster is now standard, along with a 10.1-inch touchscreen. Audi has also made interior lighting accents in the doors, footrests, center console, and cupholders standard.

There are two new wheel designs available on the A3, as well as four new exterior colors.

The A3 and S3 are equipped with turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engines and a seven-speed automatic transmission. The A3, now with standard all-wheel drive, has 201 horsepower and 236 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 15 pound-feet of torque.

The sporty S3, meanwhile, now has 328 hp, an increase of 22 horsepower, and 295 pound-feet of torque. The S3 now also has a standard rear torque splitter and roll-over suspension for improved handling.

The A3 starts at $39,495, while the S3 starts at $49,995. Both prices include shipping. Both updated models will arrive in U.S. dealerships in the fourth quarter, Audi said.

U.S. sales of the A3 totaled 7,047 in the first half of 2024, down 9.9%, ranking eighth in the compact luxury segment, according to the Automotive News Research & Data Center.
