We are heading into the first NFL season without Bill Belichick involved in some capacity in decades, as the 6-time Super Bowl champion head coach left the New England Patriots this offseason and surprisingly did not get immediately hired by another team.
According to some people close to the legendary coach, his NFL absence might not last long, and he already has a few landing spots in mind for whenever he does make his inevitable return to the sidelines.
Analyst Dov Kleiman shared that Belichick has told confidants that the three teams he would be interested in coaching are the Dallas Cowboys, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Giants.

This news comes on the heels of a recent report that Patriots owner Robert Kraft warned Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank about hiring Belichick this offseason and said that he couldn’t be trusted.
The Cowboys are obviously the most interesting option on this list, although there were murmurs the Eagles could fire Nick Sirianni after this past disappointing season, while the Giants seem pretty happy with Brian Daboll.
Dallas, on the other hand, is heading into another year with Mike McCarthy as head coach and Dak Prescott at quarterback, and both are on contract years after the team made it clear this would be a decisive year for the franchise that would go a long way toward determining the decision-making process after 2024.
Perhaps Belichick knows something and took a year off to wait out a couple more appetizing head coaching spots that could pop up.
