A former racing driver and former BBC Race Across The World star has been banned from driving for more than a month after crashing into three parked vehicles in Surrey.
Billy Monger, 25, lost control of his black Toyota Supra on January 19.
While on a 30mph road in Limpsfield, he crashed into cars before stopping in a garden, police said.
Monger’s car hit and damaged a Volkswagen Lupo, a Volkswagen Golf and a Citroën C.
The vehicle then crashed into a lamp post, wall and hedge in Snatts Hill at around 11.55pm. SurreyLive reports.
Former Stan Hill racing driver Charlwood has admitted driving without due care and attention.
On October 8, Monger was banned from driving for a total of 49 days and ordered to pay fines and costs totaling £2,694 at Guildford Magistrates’ Court.
Rick Scholey, supervisor of the road collision team which investigated the case, said: “Monger was not paying attention when he lost control of his car, causing him to collide with three parked cars, causing significant damage to the vehicles before colliding. with a hedge and a wall belonging to a neighboring house.
“Luckily no one was on the road at the time, otherwise it could have had much more serious consequences.”
Monger is currently training for the Ironman Triathlon World Championships for Comic Relief.
The former racing driver is also a Formula 1 commentator for Channel 4.
