The Memphis Grizzlies were once again defeated on Wednesday night, beaten by the Cleveland Cavaliers, 110-98.
That was their 53rd loss of the season.
As if that wasn’t bad enough, the Cavaliers broadcast couldn’t help but poke fun at one of the members of the Grizzlies.
As noted by BrickWrld on Twitter, the broadcast showed a shot of Grizzlies player Timmy Allen.
But instead of stating his name and stats, they just listed a bunch of question marks, suggesting that no one knows who he is.
Cavs broadcast did him dirty 😭😭😭 pic.twitter.com/q17Hntt0TV

Allen hasn’t gotten a bunch of time on the floor this season.
The rookie has averaged just 3.3 points, 3.3 rebounds, and 1 assist during his three games in 2023-24.
Perhaps it was a bit cruel for the Cavaliers’ broadcast team to make this dig at Allen, but it underlines the fact that the Grizzlies have been decimated by injuries all season long.
Their injury report has been shockingly lengthy all year, featuring names like Desmond Bane, Brandon Clarke, Marcus Smart, Jaren Jackson, Jr., and, of course, Ja Morant.
Because of this, a number of lesser-known players have been getting a lot more time in games.
This has been one of Memphis’ worst seasons in years, and they are currently the 13th team in the West.
But even though the season has been horrid for them, there is still hope for what the future will bring.
If everyone gets healthy by next season, there is every reason to believe that the Grizzlies could be one of the best teams in their conference again.
This season gave players like Allen and others a chance to play more than usual, which can definitely enhance their skills.
So even though he was made fun of on Wednesday night, 2023-24 might end up really helping his career.
