Overall, interest in the European elections has increased significantly compared to previous elections. While in the 2014 European elections only 38 percent of respondents showed a very strong or strong interest in the elections, this was already 56 percent in 2019. This result has now been surpassed again. As many as 61 percent have a strong or very strong interest in Sunday’s elections. This indicates that election turnout will be at the same level as in 2019.
