After three seasons with the Chicago Bears, quarterback Justin Fields is now a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He was recently traded to the Steel City after the Bears nabbed the No. 1 pick in this year’s draft following last year’s big trade with the Carolina Panthers, and it is hoped that this will mark a new beginning for him.

Dov Kleiman posted a photo of Fields wearing Steelers gear just days after his arrival.

Some fans are looking forward to Fields’ tenure with Pittsburgh.

But some aren’t quite feeling it.

There were high hopes for Fields after the Bears took him with the No. 11 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, but he has failed to live up to expectations.

He had put up impressive numbers while at Ohio State, but in three pro seasons, he has completed just 60.3 percent of his pass attempts, and he has never reached 2,600 passing yards or 18 touchdown passes in a single season.

It is believed he will be the backup to Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh, but there are those who believe he will take over the starting job at some point this fall or winter.

The Steelers are coming off a season in which they won 10 games and made the playoffs despite very poor play under center, and fans are hoping a spry Wilson and a competent Fields will elevate the team to the next level.

While they haven’t had a losing season since 2003, the team hasn’t won a playoff game since the 2016 season, back when wide receiver Antonio Brown was still an elite player.
