The Philadelphia Eagles have a new offensive powerhouse on their hands.

After moving on from D’Andre Swift, the Eagles needed to pivot to another marquee back, one that could help bring their offense to the next level.

They decided that Saquon Barkley was the player that would best help them reach their goals, and he will be with the team for the next three years.

Shaun O’Hara recently spoke about his potential impact in a segment of NFL Total Access.

He said, “We are going to see a totally different version of 2-6,” indicating how he believes Barkley will be used in this offense.

One of the main reasons O’Hara believes Barkley will be great this year is the Eagles’ offensive line.

The New York Giants had one of the worst lines in the league last year, and as O’Hara pointed out, Barkley has needed to deal with untouched defenders throughout his career.

He has still found a way to be an impressive back with a suboptimal offensive line, which bodes well for his time with the Eagles.

The Eagles have had one of the NFL’s best offensive lines over the past several seasons, and while they have lost Jason Kelce and Fletcher Cox to retirement, the general consensus is that they will once again have a top-five unit.

If this is the case, and Barkley can stay healthy throughout the season, this could be a career year for him, at least statistically.

It will be interesting to see how the Eagles utilize him and what it will be like during their two matchups against the Giants this year.
