The Boston Celtics and Phoenix Suns arguably made the biggest moves of the summer before the 2023-24 NBA season.
The Celtics added the likes of Kristaps Porzingis and Jrue Holiday to the team, while the Suns traded for Bradley Beal in a blockbuster deal with the Washington Wizards.
With the regular season entering its final stages, the Celtics have lived up to those high expectations set for them before the season, but the same cannot be said for the Suns.
The two supposed juggernauts of this season recently faced off, with the Celtics registering a 127-112 win over the Suns.
Suns head coach Frank Vogel stated the clear difference between the two sides during the postgame press conference, via Duane Rankin.
“We’re going to get where they’re at,” Vogel claimed.
“We’re just quite where they are yet. And that’s the key word. Yet.”

Following the Thursday night defeat, the Celtics swept the Suns in the season series.
The two teams will not play against each other this season unless they both make the 2024 NBA Finals.
Speaking of Vogel’s comments, the veteran head coach believes the Suns are nearly in the same stratosphere as the Celtics.
Vogel is confident that his team will reach that level sooner rather than later.
As of now, the Celtics have the best record in the NBA, as they hold the number one seed in the Eastern Conference.
On the other hand, the Suns are 38-28 for the season, and are the seventh seed in the Western Conference.
With just 16 games left for the Suns, it’s time for the team to prove their head coach right and make the final push of the season.
