She can still do it: Dame Joan Collins (90) successfully showed others their limits in 195 episodes of ‘Denver Clan’ between 1981 and 1991. Episode 14 of the current season ‘Germany’s Next Top Model’ (Thursday, 8:15 PM, ProSieben or at joyn) not only gave all “Denver Clan” fans sweet memories of “Alexis”. The 90-year-old Hollywood diva also did what she does best as a jury member. She gave Heidi’s models pure wine about their performance on the catwalk – or was Champagne? She wanted a male model to continue a striptease. Another candidate in which she mentioned the ‘young’ one Brad Pitt“, had to start the journey home. A female model also had to come along.

‘She doesn’t know what kind of weapon it is yet’

Episode 14 was like a hot dance. It wasn’t just casting in beachwear that contributed to this. The main challenge of the episode required the models to rehearse a tricky choreography and take it to the dance floor. Top choreographer Nikeata Thompson (43) helped them. She gave the male models a sequence of steps that was as powerful as it was provocative Justin Timberlake’s (43) Super hit “Sexy Back”. But Armin (27) and Jermaine (20) especially had difficulty with the choreo. Nikeata Thompson took a closer look at the boys: “I assume everyone knows why they are here.”

Most female models found the dance moves much easier. Co-favorite Lea (24) classified Nikeata as an “absolute phenomenon”, while Xenia (24) rated her “very sexy”. Hobby dancer Sara (28) assessed her chances very positively: “Dancing is very important to me. When I dance, I feel free.” Was she right about that? Model chick Fabienne (20) already showed nerves during rehearsals and behaved too shy. Nikeata’s assessment: “She doesn’t know her body very well yet. She doesn’t know what kind of weapon it is yet.”

‘Grew up overnight’ after father’s death

Fabienne’s reserved, sometimes shy character is appreciated by some, but has also been regularly criticized in previous challenges. Friend Lea describes Fabienne as the “most calm person there is.” Behind the rather calm facade lies the experience of a terrible blow of fate. When she was only 17, her father died unexpectedly. She then withdrew for days and dealt with the loss alone. “Since then I have thought: nothing can influence me anymore. The worst has already happened. At that time I grew up from one day to the next. Since then, some things have bounced off me.”

“Heidi, good selection!”

At the beachwear casting for the major summer campaign of an Italian fashion manufacturer, the Solingen resident once again presented her most beautiful smile. The winner received national attention on posters, in stores and online – and a campaign shoot with ProSieben presenter and model Rebecca Mir. The 32-year-old has experienced first-hand how positive “GNTM“-Career can develop. In 2011 she herself took part in “GNTM” and has since had a steep career path. She was a jury member at the casting. Sara (28) in particular was extremely motivated: “I woke up with greed. Today I want to get the job.” In fact, the female models in bikinis clearly stole the show from their male colleagues. Posing in pairs, Kadidja (21) stood out again. “I am an absolute fan of Kadidja, said Rebecca. The model mom also received a lot of praise from Rebecca: “Heidi, good choice!” Kadidja and the surprised Xenia eventually won the coveted bikini job and advanced to the next round – for Kadidja, her fourth job of the season.

“I look like a red rubber boat”

Dressed in literally hot outfits, the remaining models took part in the all-important dance challenge. During rehearsals, star choreographer Nikeata Thompson, 43, got them fired up with a tricky choreo to Justin Timberlake’s (43) “Sexy Back.” Wearing vinyl and glitter outfits, they had to sync along to the song, make agile movements, play with the camera and complete a catwalk. Too much of a good thing for some people – just like the lacquered clothing. Twin Julian (24) had the most trouble with his bright red, high-gloss two-piece suit: “I look like a red rubber boat.”

“We’d like you to take the rest off as well.”

Then the real star of the evening arrived in style in a Rolls Royce: former ‘Denver Beast’ Joan Collins. The now 90-year-old was eagerly looking forward to the models’ performance next to the catwalk: “Self-confidence is the most important thing for all artists, models and actors,” said the Hollywood star. And some male models did not disappoint. Frieder in particular caught Collins’ full attention. The 24-year-old suggested a short strip with his patent jacket on the catwalk. Collins’ clear assessment: ‘Your striptease was good. We’d like you to take off the rest of your clothes too.’

‘Young Brad Pitt’ has to go

She even recognized Aldin as the “young Brad Pitt.” However, Aldin’s performance once again did not upset the jury. The 23-year-old was one of the favorites to win in the first few episodes. Since then, Heidi says others have caught up. For the only candidate who had remarkable catwalk experience before the show, all dreams of winning were over. However, Collins stated that top dancers Jermaine and Luka had “star quality”: “I hope to see you on Broadway one day,” the 90-year-old said.

“You Could Be the Star of a Broadway Show”

This time, the female models also delivered significantly stronger performances on the dance floor. And once again Lea was at the front. Joan Collins and her fellow judges especially praised her ‘star quality’ and the ‘beautiful hands’ that Lea showed while dancing: ‘You could be the star of a Broadway show’, Joan Collins gave her a big compliment. Grace, 25, also praised her as the “young JLo.” The challenge was disappointing for Sara, who loves to dance. She seemed “too serious and strict” to the judges on the catwalk, which made it less fun to watch. The dream of winning “GNTM” in episode 14 as the sixth seeded woman was also over for her.
