Jennifer Lopez and husband Ben Affleck appeared to skip an opportunity for a grand entrance as a married couple at the 81st annual Golden Globe Awards in Los Angeles on Sunday.
The 54-year-old singer put on a dazzling display in a pastel pink gown with a strapless, sweetheart neckline and puffy sleeves made out of flower petal-inspired details.
However, she appeared to be working the red carpet predominantly by herself, although the couple did get photographed together just before entering the Beverly Hills Hotel.
It may have come as a stroke of luck, as one of most viral moments from the red carpet included an interview during which JLo was asked how she knows this will be her ‘last’ marriage.
When she was asked how she knows that ‘this is it,’ she responded: ‘Because when they say, ‘You know,’ you know.’
“And other times when you didn’t know… you also didn’t know,” she then said with a laugh, adding: ‘I think you always go in with the best of intentions every single time that you ever leap into anything.’

J-Lo was quizzed about marriage on the red carpet which she appeared to walk without Ben by her side
Fans flocked to social media to express their surprise and also discontent that she was asked that ‘awkward’ question.
‘It’s such a mess,’ one social media user wrote. ‘The host Marc just kinda shamed JLo about her multiple marriages lol he asked how she knows if this current one to Ben is gonna last’.
‘HE DID NOT JUST ASK JLO THAT OMG,’ another wrote.
Others tweeted about how the red carpet show was ‘so so cringe’ and called it ‘garbage’.
Another said it was ‘so inappropriate’ and ‘hella cringe’ to ask her ‘how she knows this is her last marriage while she’s there supporting her husband’.
While posing on the red carpet at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Beverly Hills, she carried a pink, crystal-covered clutch to go with her dress with a dramatic floor-sweeping train.

Stars and studios boycotted the Globes and NBC refused to air it in 2022 as a result.
