The £421 million fund is designed to help vulnerable families with essential costs such as food, energy billand other needs, and will last until March 31, 2025.
Local councils will distribute the funds and are tasked with deciding how to allocate the money based on the needs of their communities, BirminghamDirect reported.
This will be the latest round of funding, bringing the total to £3.5 billion since the scheme was launched by Conservative government in October 2021.
People are encouraged to visit their council’s website or contact their local office to find out how much support is available and how to apply.
A DWP The spokesperson stressed the importance of utilizing available funds in a timely manner, saying: “Funds must be spent or allocated before 31 March 2025, and cannot be transferred for future use. Authorities must ensure that distributed vouchers are redeemed before the end of scheme, or soon after.”

The fund plays an important role in supporting households that most need help with essential living costs, especially during this time of crisis cost of living crisis.
Local governments are expected to make plans to ensure funding reaches those who need it most, throughout the life of the fund.
This news emerged after it was revealed that DWP also improve Winter Fuel Payments for some retirees.
This support is aimed at helping elderly residents manage their households heating costs on winter months.
Pensioners born before 23 September 1958, who meet certain criteria, are entitled to a payment of between £100 and £300, depending on their circumstances.
These payments will be processed automatically for most people, but for those who accept Universal Credit or other eligible benefits will be notified via their online journal on how to claim.
