Hulk Hogan has openly stated that he can turn Logan Paul into one of wrestling’s greatest good guys – but the WWE star isn’t buying it.

Paul wrestled as a heel — a wrestling term for a villain or evil on-screen character — for nearly his entire career with the company.

This happened after a brief and failed attempt to WWE to introduce him as a fan favorite – something the wrestling audience quickly shut down with their live reactions.

A polarizing figure outside of the wrestling world thanks to his outsized and sometimes controversial persona on his YouTube channel, the 29-year-old seems destined to be booed wherever he goes.

To his credit, the wrestler has adapted perfectly to this and has established himself as one of WWE’s best modern villains, mixing a brash and arrogant persona with an unquestionable skill and talent when it comes to doing the business end-to-end.

As a result, Hogan‘s visit to Paul’s Impaulsive podcast descended into almost ridiculous scenes as the newly dethroned United States Champion sat and listened to what amounted to a WWE Hall of Fame seminar on how he would be the perfect babyface – a wrestling hero and a “nice guy” who is applauded and adored by the fans.

In typical Hulkster style, the 71-year-old figured he would be the one to make it all happen, taking a beating from WWE villains only to be “saved” by a heroic Loganwho watched in perplexity.

Hulk described his vision with a surprising comparison to disgraced wrestler Chris Benoitwho committed suicide after taking the lives of his own family, saying: “Wrestling fans are very forgiving. If Chris Benoit can do the crap he did and the fans still love him, they’re very forgiving.

“I have made some serious mistakes in my personal life, [and] they forgive you.

“For example… you have the old man standing in the ring saying, ‘Hey, brother, welcome to Monday Night Raw,’ or whatever I’m doing, and all of a sudden [WWE heels The Bloodline] left and left me grounded.

“They pull the cloth off my bald head and start shaving my mustache… if it [Logan] hit the ring and got the red and yellow paint, it’s done.

“It doesn’t matter where he’s been, what he’s done – what matters is getting the right mix at the right time.

“I can’t wait to see them turn you into a babyface, it’s going to be great.”

After initially openly laughing at Hogan’s suggestions and letting the ’80s hero speak his mind, ending by declaring that this shouldn’t be something that happens right away, Paul made his stance on the whole matter very clear by closing the door.

“Oh no, I have no interest in doing that,” Logan retorted.

“I think being a heel is f****** awesome.”

Ohio native Paul has not been in WWE since this year’s SummerSlam, where he lost his US title to LA Knight.

He said he is looking to increase his wrestling workload in the future, however, and has a big 2025 as its target.
