The Nerazzurri are keeping their tabs open to possibly lure in a goal-keeper within the near future as Inter have set their sights on Monza’s starting custodian Michele Di Gregorio.

FcInter1908 reports that former Inter keeper and current Nerazzurri scout Samir Handanovic attended the Biancorossi’s fixture against Roma yesterday evening, in which they were dismantled 4-0 by Daniele De Rossi’s side, assessing the performance of the 26-year-old Monza goal-keeper.

As it stands, Di Gregorio’s contract with Monza is set to expire in the summer of 2027, whilst the Biancorossi have placed a €20m price-tag on the Italian international.

With Inter having let go of Di Gregorio on a loan spell to Monza with the option to buy of around €4m in the 2020/21 campaign, the Beneamata are evaluating the possibility of bringing the 26-year-old back to the San Siro in the near future.

With Monza coach Raffaele Palladino open to receiving a player in exchange for Di Gregorio, the Nerazzurri are open to potentially including attacking midfielder Gaetano Oristanio, whom is currently on loan at Cagliari, within the deal in order to reduce the transfer fee in the event that they decide to enter concrete talks to bring the former Inter keeper back to the San Siro in the summer window.
