The Miami Dolphins made headlines on Friday when they signed veteran wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. with a one year contract.

He could give them a reliable third option in their passing game, and he would join an offense that was arguably the best in the NFL last season.

Beckham will also be reunited with star cornerback Jalen Ramsey, who he played with on the Los Angeles Rams during the 2021 season, and that year, the two won Super Bowl championships.

Ramsey took to Twitter to remind Beckham of the success they achieved together.

Not long ago, Beckham was one of the best wide receivers in the game, and also one of the fastest wide receivers anyone had ever seen.

As the No. 12 pick in the 2014 draft, he eclipsed 90 catches and 1,300 receiving yards in each of his first three seasons, spent with the New York Giants.

But soon after, injuries started to slow him down.

He suffered two torn ACLs, the second coming in a Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals, and since then, he’s been primarily a backup player and not an alpha wideout.

Last season, he caught 35 balls and posted 565 yards and three touchdowns as a member of the Baltimore Ravens while helping them finish with the best record in the NFL.

Miami is second in points and first in passing yards in 2023, but they lack a true third option in their passing game along with star wide receivers Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle.
