It has been a running bit around the Philadelphia Eagles that Jason Kelce seemed oddly determined to lose his Super Bowl ring, and he may have finally flown too close to the sun.

During his documentary that came out a few months ago, “Kelce,” there was a scene early on where he was looking all over his house for his ring, but now if he wants to find it he’s going to have to go sifting through a landfill in Cincinnati.

Kelce legitimately lost his ring in a vat of Skyline Chili during a recent live show for his podcast, “New Heights,” and Kelce is blaming his producer, saying, “I fully blame Jets Jake, he is the last person who saw it. I know from watching countless Law and Orders that means a whole lot.”

At the live show, the Kelces organized a game based on the bit that Jason is always losing his ring, and they placed his ring in a sock inside an inflatable swimming pool filled with Skyline Chili and had competitors jump in and try to find it.

It was never found, as the team searched for hours and even broke out a metal detector, which proved to be ineffective because it led to the discovery that there might actually be metal in Skyline Chili.

It’s likely Kelce is the first person to lose his Super Bowl ring in this fashion, but thankfully he did say he filed an insurance claim on it and is going to start the process of having a replacement made.
