The Boston Celtics have dominated their opponents for the majority of the season.

However, even the best teams in the NBA are bound to go through some rough patches.

With that being said, the Boston Celtics are currently on a two-game losing streak following their most recent defeat at the hands of the Denver Nuggets.

Prior to this losing streak, the Celtics were on an 11-game winning streak and looked unstoppable.

Speaking of the Celtics’ matchup against the Nuggets, star Jaylen Brown shared his honest opinion on facing off vs. Nikola Jokic via Jared Weiss on Twitter.

“I feel like I should have guarded Jokic a little bit, a little more,” Brown said.

Nikola Jokic was his usual dominant self against the Celtics, as the 2x MVP finished the game with 32 points, 12 rebounds, and 11 assists in 39 minutes of playing time.

Jokic’s performance helped the Nuggets register a solid 115-109 win over the number-one seed in the Eastern Conference.

Coming back to Brown’s comments, the 27-year-old star believes the Celtics could have somewhat slowed down Jokic had he focused more on defending him.

Brown also praised Jokic, labeling him as a ‘monster’ when he is on the court.

While it’s always good to see team leaders like Jaylen Brown stepping up to the task of defending the opposing team’s best player, it’s highly unlikely that would have made a lot of difference.

Jokic is known for his unorthodox playing style, which has troubled even the likes of Anthony Davis, Joel Embiid, and Rudy Gobert, who are considered some of the top defenders in the league.
