The cop at the centre of a manhunt for two missing men has given himself up to detectives and been arrested after Daily Mail Australia revealed his phone had been switched on again.

Constable Beau Lamarre-Condon, 28, was wanted for questioning by police after his ex-boyfriend, former Channel 10 presenter Jesse Baird, 26, and Baird’s new partner Luke Davies, 29, vanished from Paddington, in Sydney’s east, on Monday night.

Police hold grave concerns for the couple’s safety after a significant amount of blood was discovered in Baird’s Paddington townhouse. Their belongings were found dumped in a skip bin in Cronulla just after 11am on Wednesday.

Lamarre-Condon vanished in the wake of the two men disappearing after telling his bosses he was going on sick leave and turning his phone off.

On Friday morning, Daily Mail Australia revealed Lamarre-Condon’s phone had shown signs of life after having been switched off for hours.

Police revealed the constable had presented himself to police at Bondi Police Station shortly after 10.30am on Friday.

A spokesman added: ‘The man will be transferred to Waverley Police station where investigations will continue.’

Police later confirmed to Daily Mail Australia that he had been arrested but the hunt continues for a missing white van seen outside Mr Baird’s home.

Detectives have issued an urgent appeal for anyone spotting the white Toyota HiAce with NSW registration CW82PM to contact them immediately.

When Daily Mail Australia tried to contact Lamarre-Condon at 8am, the phone was switched off.

However, the phone was later turned back on and rang out when called, with WhatsApp showing he was last active on the platform from 9.55am on Friday.

In a further indication his phone is in use, text messages sent last night were not received as iMessages. Separate messages were on Friday morning.

It comes as NSW Police launched the city-wide search for the white Toyota HiAce van that the celebrity chaser was believed to be driving.

Police raided Lamarre-Condon’s family’s home in Balmain late last night.

At the property in Balmain, in Sydney’s inner west, relatives on Friday admitted they were ‘stressed’ but declined to comment further.

Mr Baird and Mr Davies went missing from the TV producer’s $3million rental home in Paddington on Monday.

Mr Davies, 29, was with Mr Baird, 26 – but the pair then vanished and Mr Davies’ family have been unable to contact him.

CCTV footage of the couple’s last known whereabout shows them entering Mr Baird’s home late on Monday night.

The men were captured wandering outside before heading towards the back of the terrace. A white van is then seen driving nearby.

Neither of the pair have been seen since, however Mr Baird’s phone appeared to have last been active on WhatsApp on Tuesday evening.

A manhunt was launched after a pile of the couple’s bloodied clothes was found in a large skip bin in the centre of Cronulla in Sydney’s south at around 11am on Wednesday.

Police then raced to Mr Baird’s home in Paddington, where they found a ‘large amount of blood’ and bloodstained furniture.

‘Following inquiries, detectives are looking at a line of inquiry that a third person may be able to assist with the investigation,’ a police statement read on Thursday night.

‘Detectives will continue to look at all past relationships and associations.’
