HUSUM. The old Mirror-Journalist Christian Neef complained on the social media platform X about a violent Syrian minor who is terrorizing the city of Husum. According to his own statements, Neef had “defended two elderly women” in Husum, Schleswig-Holstein, who asked the Syrian to “get off the back of a public bench they were sitting on and stop spitting at their feet.”

Police told Neef that he was a 13-year-old Syrian who had been caught more than 50 times for theft and violent crimes since the beginning of the year alone. Since criminal liability in Germany only applies from the age of 14, there are no legal sanctions against him.
A spokesman for the responsible police confirmed to JUNGEN FREIHEIT that they were aware of the case. However: “In principle, no information is provided about the identity of the suspect, who is still a child. The suspect comes from the neighborhood and has already come to the attention of the police for similar acts.” The authorities did not want to give any further details. (st)
