Large football goal from EM-Fanmeile is for sale in advertisements

Berlin/Wittenberg. The enormous football goal that stands as decoration in the fan zone of the European Championship football at the Brandenburg Gate is for sale. The steel construction company FSE from Wittenberg (Saxony-Anhalt) announced that the goal should actually be dismantled and demolished after the European Championship final next Sunday. They had built the gate.

However, if a buyer is found, an appointment for collection can also be made. The gate is 23 meters high, 64 meters wide and weighs about 40 tons, according to the Wittenberg company. The price must be negotiated, says a spokeswoman for the company.

The goal was installed at the start of the European Championship in front of the Brandenburg Gate, at one end of the Berlin fan zone. In front of it, 24,000 square metres of artificial turf lie on Straße des 17. Juni. It has been closed to traffic for weeks.
