Olympique Lyonnais have officially announced the signing of Adryelson (25) and Lucas Perri (26) from Botafogo for a combined fee of €7 million. The arrival of these two Brazilian players had been anticipated for several weeks, and they have now signed contracts until June 30, 2028.
This transfer is the latest in a series of deals between the sister clubs, following the signing of Jeffinho (23) last January. Botafogo is owned by American businessman John Textor, who also holds a majority share in Lyon.
Lyon has been in search of defensive reinforcements and had been linked to centerback Clement Lenglet (28). The acquisition of Adryelson will provide cover in that position. Perri, on the other hand, has been brought in to create competition for first-choice goalkeeper Anthony Lopes (33).
Despite this double signing, Lyon is expected to remain active in the transfer market. They had previously promised a significant January transfer window due to financial restrictions imposed by the DNCG, French football’s financial watchdog.
