Manchester United are bidding to make it back-to-back wins in the Premier League when they welcome West Ham on Sunday.
It was a quiet January on the transfer front, but Erik ten Hag’s men are unbeaten in 2024. Thursday saw the Red Devils pull off yet another late comeback victory, as an injury-time winner from 18-year-old midfield sensation Kobbie Mainoo earned a 4-3 win against to Wolves at a raucous Molineux.
Next up it’s the return of former manager David Moyes and a tricky test against a side who beat United 2-0 before Christmas, one of 14 defeats this season which have piled the pressure on Ten Hag.

Hojlund’s goal struggles left him raging
Erik ten Hag has revealed that Rasmus Hojlund has been an angry man since his £72million transfer – but he’s starting to smile more. It took until Boxing Day for the Danish striker to score his first league goal but he’s now scored two more in as many games since.
“Rasmus gets angry,” Ten Hag revealed. “He gets mad when he’s not scoring goals – but that’s why we selected him. He has the resilience and the calmness to perform under that stress.”

West Ham star drops tactical hint
West Ham star James Ward-Prowse has claimed that his side will have no fear when they go to Old Trafford, despite a disappointing 1-1 draw at home to Bournemouth in midweek. Ward-Prowse, 29, equalised for the Irons from the penalty spot.
“We now go to a place like Old Trafford looking to win and believing we can win the game,” the midfielder vowed. “That’s a real positive sign of how far the club has come.”

Fernandes urges teammates to always remember Munich tragedy
Bruno Fernandes has told his Manchester United teammates that they must pay their respects to those who died in the Munich Air Disaster every time they play – not just around February 6 each year. The Red Devils captain will lay a wreath to commemorate the 66th anniversary of the tragedy which ravaged most of famous Sir Matt Busby’s famous team in 1958.
“It’s about showing the respect that the club deserves – and that means always doing the best that we can,” Fernandes affirmed. “Every time you step on the pitch it’s a chance to show that you deserve to wear the shirt and you deserve to be at this club.”
