Marvin Harrison Jr has arrived.

The fourth overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft was limited to just one reception for four yards and no touchdowns in the Arizona Cardinals’ 34-28 Week 1 loss to the Buffalo Bills.

But Harrison Jr bounced back in style against Los Angeles Rams on Sunday, catching two first-quarter touchdown passes from quarterback Kyler Murray.

The former Ohio State Buckeye had 130 receiving yards in an explosive first quarter of Sunday’s game. That was more receiving yards than his father, NFL legend Marvin Harrison Sr., had in any game as a rookie in 1996.

Harrison Sr. played 13 seasons in the league, many of them alongside the Hall of Fame quarterback Peyton Keeping node Indianapolis Colts.

The eight-time Pro Bowler and All-Pro member won Super Bowl XLI with the Colts and held the record for most receptions in a single season (143) until broken by Michael Thomas (149) in 2019.

The Cardinals’ young wideout also outplayed one of his father’s players career records on Sunday.

By NFL Insider Jordan SchultzHarrison’s most yards in a single quarter was 110.

The younger Harrison had 20 more yards in the first quarter against the Rams, in his second start.

His first NFL score came during the Cardinals’ first drive against the Rams.

Murray found Harrison on a second down and 8 yards from the LA 23-yard line, who caught the ball deep in the end zone with Rams cornerback Tre’Davious White covering him all over.

He scored his second TD of the quarter two minutes and 12 seconds later.

He ran for a 60-yard touchdown after incredibly stretching into the end zone.

Murray found Harrison wide open downfield and the young guard turned on the afterburners to run and score a 60-yard touchdown after an incredible run into the end zone from the four-yard line.

He was targeted five times in the first quarter and finished with four receptions for 130 yards and two TDs.

“Niggas gonna be a problem in the NFL,” one fan posted on X.

“He’s going to be a star in the NFL,” added another.

“He’s gonna cook in the NFL,” wrote a third.

This comes after Murray said this week that it wasn’t his job to force Harrison into scoring targets, as the rookie had no influence in the Week 1 loss to the Bills.

“As a quarterback, obviously, you’re going through your reads,” Murray said, Craig Morgan from PHNX.

“Sometimes the ball goes to him, but that’s not my job.

“I have a sense and a feel for guys when they’re not getting the ball and when they’re getting the ball, but I leave that to Drew. He tells me, ‘Don’t worry about that kind of stuff. Just keep playing your game and get the ball where it needs to go.'”

The Cardinals snapped a nine-game home losing streak to the Rams on Sunday.

They claimed an impressive 41-10 victory to move to a 1-1 season record over their division rivals.

Murray completed 17 of 21 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns with a perfect 158.3 rating.

Harrison Jr finished with 8 targets and four receptions for 130 receiving yards and two scores.
