A gas leak in the port of Harburg briefly disrupted rail traffic in Hamburg. Late in the afternoon, hydrocarbons leaked from a gas pressure boiler on the site of the oil refinery in Holborn, according to the police. The cause was a leaking valve. Even though there was no immediate risk of explosion, rail and S-Bahn traffic was partially halted – but only for a few minutes, according to a police spokesman. The emergency services quickly closed the valve and traffic was able to resume around 7 p.m.
