Motorola released the Moto S50 Neo in June, and as promisedthe brand today revealed the vanilla S50. The Motorola Moto S50 It is powered by the Dimensity 7300 SoC, runs Android 14, and comes with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of built-in storage.
The smartphone is built around a 6.36-inch 120Hz LTPO pOLED display with a resolution of 2,670×1,272 pixels with HDR10+ support and a peak brightness of 3,000 nits. The display also has a centered punch-hole for the 32MP selfie camera and an under-display fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
At the back, you get a triple camera setup, which is a combination of 50MP primary (Sony IMX896, OIS), 13MP ultrawide (123° field of view), and 10MP telephoto (3x optical zoom, OIS) units.
Keeping the lights on for the Motorola Moto S50 is a 4,310mAh battery with support for 68W wired and 15W wireless charging. The smartphone also has an IP68 rating. If all of this sounds familiar, it’s because the Motorola Moto S50 is a version of the recently announced Motorola Edge 50 Neowith the S50 being exclusive to China and the Edge 50 Neo aimed at international markets.
The Motorola Moto S50 comes in three Pantone Validated colors and has two memory configurations – 12GB/256GB and 12GB/512GB, priced at CNY 2,199 ($310/€280/INR 26,000) and CNY 2,499 ($350/€320/INR 29,550) respectively. It is available for purchase on Lenovo’s official Chinese website.
