We have heard that the OnePlus Ace 5 will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset, an update of the Ace 3 that came with the 8 Gen 2. If you’re wondering where the Ace 4 went, it never existed due to tetraphobia.
Today, Digital Chat Station confirms the choice of the 8 Gen 3 for the vanilla model and reveals that the Ace 5 Pro will sport the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 SoC. Both models will have batteries that will be at least 6,000mAh in size, flat metal frames, optical fingerprint sensors, and a high-spec “1.5K” 8T LTPO OLED display made by BOE.

They’ll have a 50MP main rear camera and two additional cameras as well, but no periscope telephoto lens (which seems exclusive to the main numbered series for now).
While the Ace 5 Pro will likely remain confined to the Chinese market for its entire existence, the Ace 5 will likely be rebranded internationally as the OnePlus 13R and launched alongside the OnePlus 13since the Ace 3 was sold outside of China as 12R.
