Playing in the NBA is a dream come true for any basketball player around the world.

However, the dream doesn’t end there for most.

After all, becoming a basketball Hall of Famer is not something every player in the NBA can do.

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce had a Hall of Fame career that lasted for 19 years.

Pierce was a terrific player during the prime of his career, but he has been retired from the league since 2017.

As a result, it was quite shocking that the 46-year-old Pierce recently claimed that he could play on the Dallas Mavericks right now via KG Certified.

“I fit on Dallas team right now,” Pierce said.

Considering Pierce is closer to his 50s than his 40s, Kevin Garnett wasn’t convinced by Pierce’s claim.

In fact, Garnett mentioned that Pierce wouldn’t manage to score even 10 points on the Mavs.

As good as Pierce was during his playing career, he is currently not in shape to back up his claim.

Moreover, the Dallas Mavericks already have the dynamic duo of Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving on the roster.

Sure, they are the eighth seed in the Western Conference with a 38-29 record, but they are certainly not in need of Pierce’s help.
