Wolverhampton Wanderers have been linked with Noah Lemina for much of the January transfer window, with the rumour obviously getting extra attention because the 18-year-old is Mario’s younger brother.

Mario Lemina moved to Wolves in the January 2023 transfer window, and his brother is expected to follow just over a year later.

Currently playing for Sampdoria, the youngster has only made one short Serie B appearance so far this season and has mainly been with the youth team.

Loic Tanzi reports the details of a deal to take Lemina to Wolves will see the Premier League club initially loan the player. There’ll be no loan fee payable to Sampdoria but Wolves will have to cover Lemina’s full salary.

There’s a buying option of €1m which can be paid over two instalments.

Tanzi says that in order for a deal to be completed, the player ‘has to travel tomorrow’ because there’s a lot of paperwork to be sorted out in relation to this transfer.
