Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is exploring alternative options for a new stadium if they are unable to purchase the Parc des Princes from the city of Paris. One potential option is to move to a neighboring community outside of the city. PSG has been linked to a potential purchase of the Stade de France from the French government as an alternative. In an interview, club president Nasser Al-Khelaïfi confirmed that PSG is considering multiple options for their future home. The preference would be to negotiate a sale for the Parc des Princes, but this option seems increasingly unlikely due to the city’s refusal to sell. As a result, PSG is exploring a move to the new town of Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines just outside of Paris. The club has previously considered a site in the commune of Montigny-le-Bretonneux for their training center and the mayor of the commune is favorable to PSG’s interests. The location is favorable as it is close to their historic home and training center, and has good transportation links. Other options, such as building a stadium next to their training center in Poissy or buying land in the Saint-Cloud racecourse, have faced resistance or difficulties. Another option is to build a stadium by purchasing unoccupied office land within the city. PSG is actively exploring these alternatives for their future home.
