‘Our investigators believe that each of these assaults were committed by the same person,’ said NYPD Commissioner Edward Caban.
Police say the first attack happened on January 9 against a 61-year-old man who was stabbed in the lower back on 137th Avenue near 157th Street as he walked to a laundromat.
Detective Joe Kenny claimed the suspect ‘laughed at the victim’s face’ after stabbing him.

The second attack came on January 16, when Rigueur allegedly stabbed a 34-year-old woman who was getting off a bus at Guy Brewer Boulevard and 134th Avenue on her way home from work at LaGuardia Airport.
The NYPD began a frantic search for the suspect after three other attacks at the same location on Wednesday morning.
Rigueur’s five alleged victims were wounded with a hunting knife, according to police.
