The University of Washington just had it’s NFL Pro Day.

This was a chance for several players to showcase their skills to scouts and team representatives.

While there were a few Washington players to partake in the Pro Day, all eyes were on two players: Michael Penix Jr. and Rome Odunze.

Both players raised their draft stock during their run to the College Football Championship, showing the nation what they could do.

If recent mocks are any indication, Odunze is actually projected to be taken ahead of Penix, as some see him as the No. 2 receiver in the class behind Marvin Harrison Jr.

Teams seem to agree with this valuation, as several organizations with early draft picks have started to schedule meetings with him.

According to reporter Brady Henderson, Odunze is slated to meet in person with the Arizona Cardinals, New York Jets, and Chicago Bears.

Henderson also indicated that the New York Giants have already brought Odunze in for a meeting.

The 2024 draft is filled with blue-chip prospects at several positions, including quarterback and receiver.

With a crowded field, it can be difficult for players to differentiate themselves, but Odunze seems to be clearing a path for himself.

His on-field performances speak for themselves, and since his Pro Day went so well, he’s receiving additional looks from teams with top-ten picks.

Washington isn’t typically a school that has highly-touted NFL prospects, but judging by the way Odunze and Penix are being talked about, that could change over the next several years.
