Prince Harry needs to obtain “a stronger position” in its philanthropic efforts and do more to make it big, a royal expert said, as he is preparing to celebrate its 40th anniversary on Sunday.
The Duke of Sussex will reach a major milestone this weekend, but according to royal author Ingrid Seward, he has no other successes to his name beyond the Invictus Games – an international multi-sport event held annually for wounded, injured and sick military personnel, both active duty and veterans.
Some of Harry’s other projects, such as his explosive memoir Spare and Bombshell Netflix the documentary series Harry & Meghan, as well as the canceled deal between him and the Duchess of Sussex with Spotify, were the subject of controversy.
Now Mrs. Seward said The Sun: “I think in the back of Harry’s mind he’s probably thinking ‘I’ve got to keep going, I really have to get going now’. He’s got the success of the Invictus Games, which we all know about, but we can’t really name anything else.
“There have been a lot of other philanthropic things, but off the top of my head, I can only think of Invictus. So I think Harry needs to, like, gain a stronger foothold in that world that he says he wants to promote so much.”
