‘Sack him now’ – Arsenal fans demand Arteta is dismissed after Fulham

Plenty of Arsenal fans are fed up with Mikel Arteta and want him sacked after losing to Fulham on Sunday (31 December).

The wasteful Gunners suffered a 2-1 defeat to Marco Silva’s side despite taking an early lead through Bukayo Saka.

A first-half strike from Raul Jimenez and a Bobby Decordova-Reid effort on the hour mark sunk Arsenal at Craven Cottage and confirmed their second consecutive Premier League defeat.

The Cottagers went toe-to-toe with Arsenal and bested them with more shots, more shots on target and more desire to rectify their own lacklustre form.

Having been top of the table for much of the first half of the season, Arteta now finds himself fourth and two points off league leaders Liverpool.

However, both the Reds and Man City have a game in hand over the Gunners and this result has put a huge dampener on their title hopes.

Arteta has been the mastermind behind Arsenal’s incredible resurgence in recent seasons and they are now consistent challengers to the title, but some fans feel that his time is now up.

They have taken to social media in a fury and have demanded the board take immediate action.
