Yesterday, the Samsung Galaxy M55s passed BIS Certification. Today it ran Geekbench. It’s the same model number as the certification, SM-M558B, while the M55 original is SM-M556.
Based on the score sheet, the Galaxy M55s will use the same Snapdragon 7 Generation 1 chipset like the original M55. The review unit also had 8GB of RAM, which is the base capacity of the M55. So what’s new?

In the past, we’ve seen upgrades in the camera and battery departments of S-phones. For example, here’s what’s changed with the Galaxy M31s and the Galaxy M30s compared to the vanilla models. For reference, the current M55 has a 50MP main (1/1.56”, OIS) and an 8MP ultrawide on the back, plus a rare 50MP selfie camera. As for the battery, it’s a 5,000mAh cell with 45W charging.
Unfortunately, none of the certifications that have been issued for the M55s reveal the battery capacity, but we’ll keep our ears open. The launch shouldn’t be far away now.
