Sarah Ferguson has released a statement today following the news about her daughter Princess Beatrice is expecting her second child early next spring.
Duchess of York, 64, who stayed at the Royal Lodge at Windsor, said he was “very proud” of his 36-year-old daughter.
She wrote: “Very proud GiGi/Mum today. What a blessing and hug to my heart.
“Wolfie, August, Ernie and Sienna would love to have the fifth of five members!”
The child will be the fourth grandchild of Prince Andrew and Sarah, who still live together even though they are divorced.
In a longer statement shared to social media, Sarah praised her daughter and said watching her become a mother was one of her “greatest privileges”.
The full statement read: “Dear Beatrice, words cannot express the joy and excitement I feel as you and Endo prepare to welcome another precious addition to your beautiful family. Becoming a grandmother again fills my heart with so much happiness and gratitude.
“Watching you grow as a mother has been one of the greatest privileges of my life, and now seeing your family grow even further is an absolute blessing.
“Our family is growing, and so is the love that surrounds us. I can’t wait to meet this little one and share all the wonderful memories we will make together. All my love.”
The statement was shared along with a sweet photo of Sarah and Beatrice playing together Beatrice’s daughter Siennathree.
The social media post came just hours after Buckingham Palace shared the news on official social media channels.
A Palace spokesperson said: “Your Majesty Princess Beatrice and Mr. Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi are very happy to announce that they are expecting their second child; siblings of Wolfie and Sienna.
“His Majesty the King has been informed and both families are happy with the news.”
