FALL THE REUIL. In France, four heavily armed people killed at least three bailiffs during a prisoner release on Tuesday. The attack took place on Tuesday morning near a toll plaza in the town of Val-de-Reuil. The criminals armed with Kalashnikovs have apparently succeeded in freeing prisoner Mohamed A., who is said to have made a name for himself as the head of a drug gang.

This is evident from reports from the French newspaper Le Parisien Mohamed A., also known as ‘La Mouche’ (‘the fly’), is said to have served his prison sentence for attempted murder and burglary. The attack took place when A. was about to be transferred from Rouen to Évreux to another prison. According to current findings, “the fly” was the only prisoner on board the court vehicle.

Rassemblement boss: “It is a true cruelty that happens to France every day”

The route of the transport is said to have been kept secret. After the attack, A. is said to have fled with the attackers – the police are currently looking for them with a helicopter. One of the getaway vehicles is now said to have been found burnt out near the community of Vateville (approximately 17 kilometers from the crime scene).

French Justice Minister Éric Dupond-Moretti (independent) convened a crisis team at the Ministry of Justice after the events became known. He also wrote on X that his thoughts were “with the victims, their families and their colleagues.”

Also the head of the Rassemblement National, Jordan Bardella, was shocked by the act of violence. He heard of the attack “with fear and great sadness,” and his condolences go out to the families. “It is a true cruelty that happens to France every day,” the 28-year-old wrote on his X profile.
