Today, we’re launching our Represent the 24% survey to find out what you, our readers, think about disability representation in the media.
We’re launching our survey to coincide with the Paralympics and will continue to run it throughout the Games. We want to hear your thoughts on how society views and treats people with disabilities, how you think they’re represented in the media, what kind of content you think we should be making (and not making), what you want more of, what you want less of, and anything else you’d like to tell us so we can continue to improve our content.
We’re doing this because we’re committed to accurately and appropriately representing all the communities we serve. People with disabilities make up 24% of the UK population, so it’s important to us that our content, whether about them, written by them or supporting them, is useful and relevant.
We’re part of the UK’s largest digital news publishing company – Reach – and we’ll be asking readers across the UK to help us improve our disability content.
This research demonstrates our ongoing commitment to driving disability inclusion across our business and content. We are also part of the Valuable 500, a global business partnership of 500 companies working together to end disability exclusion.
You can participate in the survey below and please share it with your family and friends.
