THE father and three young children who were found dead in StainesSurrey on Saturday, August 31, have now been identified.
The bodies were found by an ambulance crew shortly after 1pm yesterday and police were called to the scene soon after.
The victims were identified as Piotr Świderski, who is believed to be a Polish national, and her three children. The heartbreaking discovery was made by an ambulance crew who responded to the property on Bremer Road shortly after 1pm on Saturday.
The incident has prompted an ongoing investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the deaths. Authorities have confirmed that they are not seeking any other individuals in connection with the case.
The house on Bremer Road remains under heavy police presence, with officers continuing to gather evidence while securing the premises. Floral tributes have begun to appear outside the home as local residents express their sadness at the tragic loss.
One resident of the area described the neighborhood as typically quiet and peaceful, saying: “This is like the quintessential quiet town – you would never expect it. It’s just a normal house on a pretty normal street in a really boring place.
“Nothing happens around here — it’s a small, quiet neighborhood.”
A spokesperson for Surrey Police also said that at this time, police believe this was an isolated incident and that no one else was involved.
“This is a tragic loss of life in our community and we are working to establish exactly what happened,” Surrey Police Chief Inspector Lucy Sanders said.
“We would like to thank local residents for their patience and understanding whilst we conducted our investigation,” she continued.
“Surrey Police have also completed a mandatory referral to the Independent Office for Police Conduct (IOPC) due to previous police contact with those involved.”
