Taylor Swift’s private jet has flown out of Kansas City and she is heading back to New York, just a day before her 34th birthday.
She is returning to New York for the TIME Person of the Year gala on Tuesday night at the Plaza Hotel, after she was announced as the winner of the honor last week.
Tuesday’s event is described by TIME as: ‘An exclusive invite-only evening including cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and onstage conversations with select designees for a year-end celebration.’
It comes amid reports that boyfriend Travis Kelce has been planning a surprise celebration for her on December 13th.
She had been in Kansas City to cheer him on in the NFL on Sunday but his Chiefs team lost to the Buffalo Bills in heartbreaking circumstances.

Tuesday is Kelce’s off-day, so there is nothing stopping the NFL star joining his girlfriend.
However, he will need to be back in Kansas City on Wednesday for practice, with the Chiefs desperate to get back to winning ways after two straight losses in the NFL.
It was reported last week that Kelce is planning a surprise party for the singer’s 34th birthday and there was even a suggestion he might incredibly plan to propose.
The happy couple were pictured at an after-party following the Bills loss, with a smitten Swift snapped kissing Kelce on the cheek.
She opened up on her romance with Kelce for the first time in her interview with the magazine last week and the attention she gets from football fans.
‘I don’t know how they know what suite I’m in,’ she said. ‘There’s a camera, like, a half-mile away, and you don’t know where it is, and you have no idea when the camera is putting you in the broadcast, so I don’t know if I’m being shown 17 times or once.
‘I’m just there to support Travis. I have no awareness of if I’m being shown too much and p***ing off a few dads, Brads, and Chads.
‘Football is awesome, it turns out. I’ve been missing out my whole life.’

It was less awesome than it usually is for Travis on Sunday night, though. He played an incredible, improvised lateral pass to Kadarius Toney, who raced over the line for a touchdown that put the Chiefs ahead late in the fourth quarter against the Bills.
It was a play that would have made the highlights reel of Kelce’s incredible career but it was agonizingly ruled out for offside, with Toney lining up with a toe over the line at the beginning of the play and failing to check his position with the officials.
The Chiefs are in New England this week to play against the Patriots – it is not yet known if Swift will be there again but her calendar, tour-wise, is clear now until February.
