Max Allegri’s recent comments about the Serie A title race have not gone done well at Inter, leading to tensions between the two clubs.

Allegri, after Juve’s recent win over Sassuolo, was asked about the title race and he ended up comparing Inter as ‘thieves’ and referred to the Bianconeri as ‘guards’ who are looking to catch the thieves, with the current social media environment pointing towards refereeing calls going in the Nerazzurri’s favour.

La Gazzetta dello Sport state that Inter aren’t happy about Allegri’s comments and they are annoyed about the context that he used for it, while declaring his respect for Inter CEO Beppe Marotta in the same interview. Inter believe that the comments were ‘not elegant’ and that is the word filtering out from their camp in Saudi Arabia.

This is adding tension to the rivalry and title race and Allegri has pretty much lit up a fire in the Scudetto race, with the gap between the two sides at only two points right now.
