Spain is one of the most popular places for Brits to holiday or even start a new life after retirement.
In truth, around 284,000 British citizens currently live in the country.
However, building a new life in Spain is not without its complications and costs.
That’s why this little-known Spanish village could be an attractive prospect for anyone thinking of relocating.
In Camposol, located on the south-east coast of Spain between Benidorm and Malaga, properties can be purchased for as little as €55,000 (£46,400).
The village’s name means “Sun of the Field” in English, and it’s just a 12-minute drive from the nearest beach.
It has around 5,000 residents of 40 different nationalities, but the majority of homeowners here are British.
Logan Robertson, a sales agent at Mercers, told Daily Mail: “Backs vary in price depending on how long they have been established.
“The Costa Cálida is one of the newest coasts and currently probably the coast with the lowest entry price, due to it still being in its infancy. You can get a small 2 bedroom property for around €55-60,000 in an urbanization [development].
“All developments are different, some being very small, some very elite and some designed with the British in mind. At Camposol, we sell over 20 properties every month, in my opinion, right down to the low entry price.
“Country properties here range from low values to some very glamorous properties, still priced perfectly at €200-300,000. You go to the other coasts and they can cost millions.”
Camposol is located approximately 90 minutes drive from Benidorm to the east and just 45 minutes from Murcia city.
