Arsenal secured their place in the Champions League knockout rounds in style with a stunning victory against Lens.

Arsenal winners and losers in Lens thrashing as Kai Havertz revival gathers pace
Henry has Jesus hope
Arsenal icon Thierry Henry “hopes” that he is proven wrong by Gabriel Jesus after another goalscoring outing in the Champions League. The Brazilian has scored five goals this season – four coming in Europe.
Henry does not believe Jesus has enough goal threat for Arsenal in the Premier League but is hoping his opinion is incorrect. Speaking after the Gunners’ win against Lens, he said: “Gabriel Jesus is a very important player for us.
“Will he ever score 20-25? I hope so. But what he does in general, it’s just great for us.”

Merson sends Arteta Havertz-themed warning
Speaking of former Arsenal stars, Paul Merson has warned Mikel Arteta that he is still playing Kai Havertz in the wrong position. “Havertz is a confidence player and he’s playing with confidence right now,” he said after the win against Lens.
“I thought he was the best player on the pitch. He was elegant, he picked the right passes and made the right decisions. He’s a top player. I don’t think he’s playing in the right position but he’s still a top player.”
Havertz scored against Lens to make it two goals from as many games. He now has three goals for the season following his £65m switch from Premier League rivals Chelsea.

Arteta opens up on Saka
Sticking with Wednesday’s win over Lens, Arteta was full of praise for Bukayo Saka after he too found the back of the net. Saka, 22, scored and provided an assist – with his record for the season now sitting at seven goals and ten assists in all competitions.
The Arsenal boss said: “That’s a different edge to score ugly goals as well and be involved in this action that gives an advantage to your teammate and he did it as well against Burnley when he won that header for Leo {Trossard], and that’s a different kind of aggression that’s good in this game and that’s a really positive thing to see.”
